Scoopy Poos Terms and Conditions
Effective Date: December 1, 2024

Welcome to Scoopy Poos! By using our services, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. These terms outline payment policies, service expectations, and client responsibilities. Please read carefully, as initiating service constitutes acceptance of these terms.

1. Payment Terms
Monthly Billing: Rates are determined by location, number of pets, yard size, and service frequency (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, or twice a week).
Prepayment Requirement: All services must be prepaid for the upcoming month.
Invoicing: Invoices are issued five days before the month ends (e.g., April 26 for May services).
Payment Due: Payments are due on the 1st of each month (e.g., May 1 for May services).
Late Payment Policy: Services will be suspended if payment is not received by the 5th of the month. A resumption fee will apply to cover increased workload on the next service visit.
Pro-rated Invoices for New Clients: New clients will receive a pro-rated invoice based on the remaining days in their first month.
Preferred Payment Methods: We accept e-transfers and credit card payments. Credit card users will be charged automatically on the 1st of each month.

2. Credit Card Policy
Credit card information is securely stored in our payment system (Jobber CRM) and is not accessible to Scoopy Poos staff. By enrolling in our services, you authorize automatic monthly charges to your credit card.

3. Late Fee
Payments overdue by 10 days will incur a $10 late fee.
Accounts 45+ days overdue will incur a $35 collection fee and may be forwarded to a collections agency.

4. Communication via Text (SMS)
By consenting to text (SMS) communications, you agree to receive:
Appointment reminders and notifications
Service updates and announcements
You can withdraw from SMS communications at any time by replying STOP. Standard messaging rates may apply.

5. Snow and Inclement Weather Policy
If snow accumulation exceeds 3 cm within 8 hours prior to your visit, service will be rescheduled.
Regular service fees will apply due to the increased workload on the next visit.
In the event of staff illness or unforeseen circumstances, you will not be charged for the missed service.

6. Yard Access
Clients are responsible for ensuring unobstructed access to the yard (e.g., unlocked gates).
If access is unavailable (locked gates, aggressive pets, etc.), the regular service fee will still apply.
First missed occurrence: The fee will be waived as a courtesy.
Access through homes is not permitted; a garage or side gate must be available.

7. Pet Safety
For safety, pets must be confined away from the service area during visits.

8. Waste Removal Policy
We remove solid pet waste only.
Pet waste will be double bagged and disposed in your personal garage bin. If you would like it hauled away, there will be an additional fee with this service.
Waste indicating health concerns (e.g., diarrhea) will not be handled. Clients will be notified to seek veterinary care if necessary.

9. Service Area Conditions
Visibility: Areas obscured by debris, overgrown grass, or snow may not be fully serviced. Clients will be notified of such conditions.
Exclusions: Areas beneath trampolines, dense underbrush, or locations deemed unsafe for staff are excluded from service.

10. Service Suspension and Termination
Service Suspension: Clients must provide 24-hour notice to pause service. Credit will be applied to the following month.
Service Termination: Services may be canceled with a 48-hour written notice. Refunds for partial months will not be issued.

11. Liability
Scoopy Poos takes precautions to secure your property after each visit. However:
We are not liable for any property damage or loss related to our services.
Clients are responsible for maintaining a safe environment for our team.

12. Holiday Schedule
Services may be adjusted for major holidays.
We are closed from Christmas Day to New Year’s Day. The regular fee will apply to the subsequent service, as workloads typically increase during this period.

13. Privacy Policy
We respect your privacy. All client information is kept confidential and will not be sold or shared externally.

14. Revisions to Terms
Scoopy Poos reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updated terms will be communicated to clients and will take effect immediately.

Agreement to Terms
By initiating service with Scoopy Poos, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions, including payment policies, yard access requirements, and service limitations.
